A Pakistani media report has claimed that the head of the Pakistani interi-service spying agency (ISI) has firmly told all commanders to maintain the distance from the country’s politics. The Express Tribune reported that in a strict order issued by the Director General of the contents of the General Nadeem Anjum, all his subordinates were personally asked to keep a safe distance from the country’s politics.

The order from the ISI headquarters was issued after the very strong Army Head General Qamar Javed Bajwa issued a similar direction to take steam from the stain campaign allegedly carried out against the military by the PTI Party Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The contents officers have been told in a strict language to also avoid any activities related to politics. Lieutenant Anjum clarified the instructions that there would be zero tolerance for violations of the order. Furthermore, every intelligence official found not obeying the order will not find a place in the eye agent.

The Head of the Bajwa Army previously told the senior commander and high -ranking officers to stay away from politics after PTI leaders claimed that several ISI officials were trying to “manipulate” the selection of the upcoming selection in Punjab Province. Bajwa instructions are also applied to the contents.

Pakistani Party Imran Khan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has targeted the military since losing power in April this year after losing a motion without trust, the report said.

Khan then claimed that the US had played a role in its dismissal which he called a conspiracy. Khan has stated that the US in collusion with local players ensures its dismissal for its pursuit of independent foreign policy.
