Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday held a virtual interaction with the beneficiaries of the program “Aatmanirbhar Bharat Swayampurna Goa”. Speaking on that occasion, PM Modi described Goa as a new development model, adding that under the minister of the Head of Pramod Sawant, the state played a major role in implementing the central government scheme

Speaking of the scheme, he said that Goa had everything needed for Aatmanirbhar Bharat. This, said PM Modi, it is possible because the government of “multiple machines”, refers to the Bharatiya Janata (BJP) party which is ruling both in the middle and coastal countries.

Prime Minister Modi further said that in the coming years, the food processing industry will be one of the biggest strengths of the Swayampurna program. “Especially in the field of fish processing, Goa can be the power of the state. Indian fish reach the global market after being processed in East Asian countries. To change this, the fisheries sector, for the first time, aid is provided on a large scale,” he added.
