Last week, India sent 27 tons of emergency assistance to Afghanistan after the 5.9-Magnitudo earthquake that killed more than 1,000 people. Earlier this month, New Delhi sent diplomatic staff to Afghanistan for the first time since the takeover of the Taliban in August last year. Has sent food assistance to Afghanistan too. These efforts are seen as India’s efforts to rebuild diplomatic footing in Kabul.

The Afghan Taliban has welcomed India’s decision to send diplomats, saying that the move shows the state security situation has improved. “IEA (Afghan Islamic Emirates) welcomed the decision by India to restore diplomats and technical teams to their embassies in Kabul to continue their relations with the people of Afghan and their humanitarian assistance,” Abdul Qahar Balkhi, Afghan Spokesman, said Afghanistan foreign company.

The return of Indian diplomats to Afghanistan and the reopening of the embassy showed that security was established in the country, and all political and diplomatic rights were respected,” the statement said.

For some time now, India and the Taliban have made efforts to open the communication channel. A number of delegates from India have met with Taliban representatives for the past year. For its part, the Taliban has seduced India continuously to relieve concerns related to New Delhi terrorism. For example, the group said that they would not allow Pakistan to use the Land of Afghanistan against India. The Taliban also clarified that the conflict of Pakistan and India should not damage its relationship with New Delhi.

Recently, the Strong Taliban Defense Minister Mullah Yaqub, the son of the founder of the Taliban Mullah Omar, said that he had no problem by sending Afghan Army personnel to India for military training. He urged India and Pakistan to solve their problems through dialogue. “We will not allow Pakistan to use the land of Afghanistan against India and we will not allow India to use the Land of Afghanistan against Pakistan,” he said in response to the question of the existence of militant groups in Afghanistan land.

Developing relations between India and the Taliban must be carefully monitored by the Islamic military of the Islamic and Pakistan which, for decades, have not been able to accept the idea of Indian presence in Afghanistan. For decades, Pakistan has pushed the narration that India used Afghanistan to disrupt Pakistan. So, for Pakistan, the presence of India in Afghanistan, in any form, is bad news.

Pakistan could not feel comfortable with the outbreaks that developed between India and the Taliban. This will make efforts to reverse the trend.

In the past, the Afghan Taliban was considered the best bet Pakistan to hold India in Afghanistan. However, it has changed over the past year because the group’s dependence on Pakistan gradually decreased because it expanded its partnership with other countries in the region and outside.

Since taking over Kabul, the Taliban has openly tried to block Pakistan’s plan to complete the border fence of 2,600 km (1,615 miles). This group also shows the willingness to use current instability in the Pakistani tribe as an influence on Islamabad. For example, the Taliban openly offers a shelter to leadership and tehreek-e-e-e-taliban fighters (TTP) which continues to launch cross-border attacks.

For many people in Islamabad, this shows that the Taliban will no longer receive orders from Pakistan when it comes to Islamabad’s efforts to withstand India’s role in Afghanistan. More importantly, this shows that Islamabad’s strategy in containing India with the help of the Taliban may not be as effective as possible in the past.

However, that does not mean that Islamabad cannot exploit a long -lasting distrust between India and the Taliban to damage the beginner relationship.
