With President Ashraf Ghani unexpectedly left his country, the fate of Afghanistan became as clear as the day. While women and children running for salvation, prayers flow from all over the world who want to see a better future for Afghan people.

Until recently, the Afghan army locked the horns with the Taliban fighters. However, the latter seemed to defeat the first with the arrest of each province, including the capital of Kabul. The rate of the takeover of the Taliban is almost complete to Afghanistan unexpected, as felt by US President Joe Biden and other US officials.

But, where did the problem come from? Who is the Taliban? Why are they chasing Afghanistan? What are their plans after getting full control? This is a brief view of what happened for years that resulted in a state like war in Afghanistan.

Ironically, the Taliban terror group received his name from the word ‘student’ and they first began to form in the 1990s in North Pakistan, shortly after the Soviet returned from Afghanistan. This is a religious group that is also named Afghan Islamic Emirates. Unlike their best -known image, the Taliban actually claims to be aimed at “restoring peace and security and upholding their own sharia version of sharia, or Islamic law, once in power”. Even when they continue to win the province in Afghanistan, the Taliban continued to claim that they would not take anyone “by force”.

This is not the first time Afghanistan has been terrorized by the Taliban. Some literature is proof that Afghan citizens continued to tell the story of the consequences caused by the Taliban in 1996, when they seized the capital of Afghanistan, Kabul, overthrowing the regime of President Burhanuddin Rabbani.

The Taliban also introduces or supports sentences in line with their strict interpretation of sharia law – such as the public execution of the killers and adulterers who are convicted, and amputation for those who are found guilty of theft. Men are asked to grow beard and women must wear burka who cover up.
