The Taliban Prison Administration Office announced that they had released 14 women from a female prison in the capital of Afghanistan Kabul, reported Tolo news.
The body said that inmates were issued as a result of the assessment conducted by the government delegation.
A statement sent to the media by OPA reads that “14 female prisoners were released on Thursday, February 3 as a result of the assessment conducted by the delegation of five members.”
The deputy of the resentment body at the Taliban Interior Ministry Moulayee Abdulhaq said that the prisoners released promised not to carry out activities that endanger the social order and it was illegal and / or contrary to Islamic law, reported Tolo.
This step comes in the midst of the second sample report from the Lost Women’s Rights Activists – Two more allegedly kidnapped this week – which triggered international reactions, with many public figures and organizations demanding information about the fate of these missing women.
Zahra Mohammadi and Mursal Ayar are two female activists who lost two days ago. More than two weeks ago, Tamana Pyani and Parwana Ibrahimkhil lost.
US special envoys for Afghan women, Rina Amiri, said that if the Emirates Islam seek legitimacy from the world and people in Afghanistan, it must respect the human rights of Afghanistan.
“This unfair detention must stop. If the Taliban seek the legitimacy of the Afghans and the world they must respect the human rights of Afghanistan – especially for women – including freedom of expression and immediately release these women, their relatives and other activists,” Amiri Word on Twitter.
Some activists of women’s rights call for an international community to take serious steps to release the detained female activists.
Meanwhile, the UN mission in Afghanistan was looking for information from the Taliban in the latest detention reported by the Taliban. It also repeatedly calls for all women activists ‘disappear’ and relatives to be released.
“Information that is urgent to be searched from @moiafghanistan today by UNAMA in the latest detention reported for the last 24 hours by the Taliban of two female activists in Kabul. The United Nations repeats its calls for all female activists and relatives who are lost to be released,” UN said mission in tweets .
