As per the spokesman, the military used high-precision long-range weapons to target the Ukranian army and its units– a claim refuted by the war-embattled President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.A day after the brutal attack on multiple locations in Ukraine, its state emergency service has reported that the death toll has risen to 19, with the number of injured rising to over 105.
The Russian Ministry of Defence (MOD) announced that General Sergei Surovikin had been appointed as overall commander of its Joint Group of Forces conducting the ‘special military operation’ in Ukraine, the UK Ministry of Defence said on Twitter. It claimed for much of its operation, Russia has likely lacked a single empowered field commander.
Amid the brutal attack on Ukraine on Monday, the “aggressor” again targeted the Zaporizhzhia region earlier today. As of now, no reports of casualties have been reported. “Russian forces targeted an infrastructure site in the city of Zaporizhzhia,” Kyiv Independent reported citing Zaporizhzhia Oblast Governor Oleksandr Starukh. Earlier on Saturday, the region witnessed several rocket attacks, resulting in the killing of at least 17 people.

The UN General Assembly started debating Monday whether to demand that Russia reverse course on annexing four regions of Ukraine. The discussion came as Moscow’s most extensive missile strikes in months alarmed much of the international community anew.
