American defense company, struggling to find skilled workers to build ships and weapons, has been urged to employ Afghan and Ukrainian refugees.
ADM. Mike Gilday, the Head of the US Navy Operations, drifted suggestion, touting the internship program run by the US large shipyard.
Dockyards are currently looking for new talents, because the US Navy tried to accumulate its fleet with newer and more advanced warships, according to Washington-based magazines.
Government executives quoted Garday said: “Think about Ukraine and Afghanistan who come to this country or have set foot on our beach.”
Speaking at the Navy Sea Space Convention in Maryland, he asked the defense company to find a way to lure the refugees into the internship program.

More than 74,000 Afghans arrived in the United States last year when the Taliban arrested Afghan and US forces out of the country.
