Violating a series of votes in the voice related to Ukraine, India has chosen the procedural problems opposed by Russia on the UN Security Council.
Against Moscow’s attitude, India on Wednesday joined 12 other board members to choose to invite Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky to speak through long -distance video links.
China Abstain in voting and Russia naturally chose to oppose the invitation, but because it was a procedural problem that was not considered a veto.
When the meeting began, Russian permanent representative Vassily Nbenzia, objected to the regulation of the Zelensky video link, demanding that he must come directly to the board’s room and ask for a voting, which finally showed Moscow isolation.
Although this is the first time India has not been abstained in matters related to Ukraine and votes with the West, diplomatic sources reduce their significance.
The source said the voting on Wednesday was different from the problems that had been ignored by India and they were greater.
While speaking at the meeting, Indian permanent representative Ruchira Kamboj attached to the typical neutrality version of New Delhi in the Ukraine conflict.
The meeting took place on the twin import day for Ukraine – its independence day and six months since Russia launched Kiev’s sustainable invasion on February 24.
Allowed to speak through video links after the voting, Zelensky warned that world security depends on how Russia’s invasion is handled.
In the Ukraine region, the future of the world will be decided,” Zelensky said, “Our independence is your security”.
Kamboj did not mention the name of Russia when he talked about war victims in Ukraine and its impact on the whole world.
He also did not offer open support to Kiev when he mentioned that Indian humanitarian assistance had provided Ukraine.
The conflict has resulted in the loss of lives and countless misery for people, especially for women, children and parents, with millions of people becoming homeless and forced to take shelter in neighboring countries,” he said, calling for ending violence .
We encourage talks between Ukraine and Russia (and) Prime Minister Narendra Modi has itself, more than once, talking to them, in this case.”
Modi has spoken with President Vladimir Putin from Russia and Volodymyr Zelensky from Ukraine asked them to hold talks for the settlement of peaceful war.
Meanwhile, Nbenzia blamed what he called the “Crusades” of Ukraine that did not make sense for conflict and claimed that Russia launched a “special operation” because of his threat.
