Cast members
The cast of The Adam Project is fantastic. The Adam Project is no exception to Netflix’s practice of paying for A-list performers in its big-budget films. The ensemble is led by Ryan Reynolds, who previously acted in Netflix’s most successful film to date, Red Notice. Jennifer Garner, Zoe Saldana, Mark Ruffalo, Catherine Keener, and Walker Scobell are among the cast members.
The plot of the show
The Adam Project is about a 13-year-old boy named Adam Reed. He is still mourning his father’s untimely death a year ago. He comes into his garage one evening to discover an injured pilot sheltering there. The enigmatic pilot turns out to be an earlier version of Adam from the future when time travel is still in its infancy. He’s put his life on the line to go back in time on a covert mission.
Adam’s older and younger selves must embark on a journey into the past to discover their father. They must work together to put things right and preserve the world. They both come to grips with their father’s death and have an opportunity to repair the traumas that have molded them by working together.
Ironically, the two Adams discover they don’t like each other, which adds to the difficulties of their task. They understand that to preserve the world, they must first learn to get along with one another.
