The United States on Saturday advised Americans in Afghanistan to avoid traveling to Kabul Airport when thousands of people crowded the place trying to escape from that country almost a week after the Taliban took control over South Asian countries.
Meanwhile, a Taliban official denied the abduction of foreigners by Islamic militant groups, however, which stated that some were interrogated before leaving Afghanistan. When some countries struggle to increase evacuation in Afghanistan in the midst of chaos, there are reports about foreigners who kidnap the Taliban. “Our warriors will continue to show restraint,” Reuters news agency quoted Taliban officials. Leave aside the reported kidnapping incident, he added, “We questioned some of them before they left the country.”
A group of 72 Sikh Afghanistan and Hinduism were stopped by the Taliban from the Indian Air Force (IAF) to India. The IAF C-130J transportation aircraft took off from Kabul with around 85 Indians, PTI reported. It landed in Dushanbe in Tajikistan to refuel, before heading to New Delhi.
Meanwhile, the Taliban tends to reveal a new framework for Afghanistan in the next few weeks, a spokesman said on Saturday. “Legal experts, religion and foreign policy in the Taliban aim to present a new framework in the next few weeks,” the official told Reuters. Since returning to power in this country, the Taliban has tried to present a more moderate face. One of the founders of the militant group, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, arrived in Kabul on Saturday for talks with fellow members of the group and other politicians about establishing a new Afghan government.
The Taliban will be responsible for its actions and will investigate reports on retaliation and cruelty carried out by members, an official of Islamic militant group to Reuters on Saturday.
The ongoing evacuation from US citizens and Afghan citizens who supported Americans over the past two decades was one of the largest and most difficult transportation in history, US President Joe Biden said Friday. He previously promised to bring back all Americans from the country, who descended into a state of chaos after the Taliban returned to power.
