Hawkeye/ Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) has always been the most restrained member of the Avengers, with his closest friend Black Widow/ Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson), who sacrificed herself to secure Clint’s survival in Avengers: Endgame to ensure Clint’s survival. While Natasha’s family consisted entirely of Avengers, Clint had his own: wife Laura (Linda Cardellini) and three children: Lila, Cooper, and Nathaniel (Ava Russo, Ben Sakamoto, and Cade Woodward, respectively). However, after he lost them all in the Snap — as Thanos did in Avengers: Infinity War — he spent five years taking “his anguish, wrath, and sadness out on every bad man on the planet,” as Renner stated in a series production diary. It’s scarcely mentioned in Endgame due to the film’s three-hour running time, but this is now ripe ground for Hawkeye’s own television series.
After all, the majority of superheroes, including Hawkeye, operate under their own set of rules. While not everyone is as zealous as Batman, most people want to avoid death unless it is the only way to save themselves or someone else. Clint, on the other hand, went well beyond that when he changed into the sword-wielding, death-dealing Ronin for five years. “Clint became a full-fledged vigilante. Whether justified or not, it’s a huge burden on him since he was aware he was violating the moral code that defines who he is,” Renner remarked.

Hawkeye Season 1: First Two Episodes Reviews and Reactions
We’ve gathered responses and critiques from a few celebrities and reviewers who have already seen the first two episodes of Hawkeye.

@HaileeSteinfeld is fantastic as Kate Bishop, and there is no way fans will not fall in love with her character immediately.
In some respects, the new Marvel series is ingenious and apt. Hawkeye’s inclusion in the Avengers has occasionally been ridiculed. “We have a deity, a super soldier, a millionaire in an exo-suit, and a scientist capable of transforming into a beast. And then there’s the guy with the bow and arrow, isn’t he? What a joke!!” Thus, Hawkeye is a small-scale street-level series, which is entirely suitable. (Though one must agree that Hawkeye has dealt with larger fish, from Loki and the Chitauri to assisting in the defeat of Ultron.) He opted for family — there’s that word again — over Thanos.) Additionally, Hawkeye forces Clint into uncomfortable terrain, which makes for compelling television. He has a hundred times averted disaster, but mentoring the next (privileged) generation appears to be the farthest thing from his mind.
Hawkeye: The Second Season
Hawkeye, on the other hand, is unquestionably more The Falcon and the Winter Soldier than Loki or WandaVision are. It struggles to explain its existence — save from the fact that it is ultimately about Clint handing the torch to Kate. It’s essentially a (Marvel Cinematic Universe) business deal, and Hawkeye ends up playing it extremely safe in an attempt to be a nice family series for the holidays.
Kate observes that Hawkeye lacks branding late in Hawkeye episode 2. Clint maintains that he is not making a sale. “That is your flaw,” Kate observes. “You are far too demure. Sincerity is desired by the populace.” Clint attempts to evade the inquisition by reverting to his standard response (“I’m not trying to sell anything”), but Kate remains unmoved. “However, you are,” Kate informs him, “you are selling inspiration.”
And, similar to the main character, Hawkeye suffers from a branding deficit. While Disney may be adept at marketing it, the television series has no idea what it is about. Until now, that is.
Hawkeye debuts on Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar on Wednesday, November 24 with two episodes. Each Wednesday at about 1:30pm IST/12am PT till December 22, a new episode will show.
