New Delhi: In a clear burrow at her associate and party pioneer Kapil Sibal and other G23 individuals, Sonia Gandhi on Saturday (October 16) affirmed she is “a full-time and active Congress President”.

Last month, after political unrest in Punjab Congress spilled out in the open, Sibal had assaulted Congress central leadership and said G23 pioneers’ gathering is “not a Jee Huzur 23”. Tending to a question and answer session, the veteran chief said, “In our party right now there is no president. So we don’t have the foggiest idea who is taking these choices. We know but then we don’t have the foggiest idea.”

During her introductory statements at Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting held at All India Congress Committee (AICC) base camp in New Delhi, Sonia Gandhi said, “I am, on the off chance that you will permit me to say as much, a full-time and hands on Congress President.”

She added, “I’ve generally liked bluntness, no compelling reason to address me through media; let us all have legitimate conversation.” Gandhi required an assembled Congress and said, “We face many difficulties however in case we are joined together, center around party’s inclinations alone, we will progress nicely.”

Pummeling the Narendra Modi-drove focal government, Sonia Gandhi said, “Economy keeps on being a reason for extraordinary worry notwithstanding govt purposeful publicity to cause us to accept that it’s not. This was the first in-person meeting of the CWC since the COVID-19 flare-up the year before. Five pioneers including Digvijaya Singh and Dr Manmohan Singh couldn’t go to the gathering.

The meet comes a long time after Gulam Nabi Azad, a G-23 part, had composed a letter to Sonia Gandhi to assemble an earnest CWC meet.
